Abington, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's basketball team came up short against visiting Lancaster Bible College, 64-60, in a United East Conference (UEC) contest on Wednesday afternoon at the Abington Athletic Building.

How It Happened
 
* With the game tied 46-46 at the 6:55 mark of the fourth quarter, Lancaster Bible went on a 7-0 run to grab its biggest lead of the game.  Jenna Dombach capped the run with a layup basket to make the score 53-46 with less than five minutes to play in the quarter.
 
* Abington would cut the deficit down to two points with 1:40 remaining after sophomore Safara McIntyre split a pair of free throws to make the score 57-55.  However, that would be as close as the Nittany Lions would get as the Chargers followed with nine unanswered points to lead 64-55 with :35 seconds showing on the clock.  The Nittany Lions scored the final five points of the game to finish at 64-60.
 
* Abington led 25-24 at halftime and opened the third quarter on an 8-0 run to increase its lead to 33-24. Four different players scored baskets for the Nittany Lions during that run that resulted in the team's largest lead of the game.

* Junior Angela Sanders led the Nittany Lions with 19 points to go along with seven rebounds.
 
* Senior Isabella Vazquez added 11 points to go along with seven rebounds and four assists.
 
* McIntyre also scored in double-figures as she came away with 11 points, four rebounds and a team-high three steals.
 
* Junior Camille Fleming scored a season-high 12 points (5-10 FG) while totaling five boards and two assists.
 
* Junior Kankoun Sylla grabbed a team-high nine boards; one shy of her season-high.
 
* For Lancaster Bible, Adalyn Steiner finished with a team-high 15 points, while Jade Eshelman finished with nine points and a game-high 17 rebounds.
 
All-Time Series
Tonight marked the 23rd meeting between Abington and Lancaster Bible since the start of the 2011-12 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 3-20 versus the Chargers in the all-time series.

Abington returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 14 as the Nittany Lions host Wells College in a United East contest.  Tip-off is set for 1 p.m.
