New Scoring Standard
Vazquez now has the record for most points scored in a game in Abington basketball history.  The previous mark of 40 points was set by former standout Shayna Rodriguez who tallied 40 points twice in her career.  Rodriguez scored 40 at Wells nearly seven years ago to the date on Jan. 17, 2016, and then came through with 40 points at home against Keuka College on Feb. 2, 2019.

Raining Threes
The 11 three-pointers by Vazquez set a new school record that was previously set exactly one year ago today on Jan. 14, 2022 when then-senior Lacy MacLachlin drained 10 three-pointers (10-17 3FG) against Penn State Berks.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 12th meeting between Abington and Wells since the start of the 2011-12 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 8-4 versus the Express after winning the last five matchups in the all-time series.

Next Up
Abington will take a short break from conference play and host Arcadia University in a non-conference contest on Monday, Jan. 16.  Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
