How It Happened

* Abington trailed just once in the game when Berks led 10-8 after a three-pointer by Josh Gardner at the 13:08 mark of the first half.  From there, Abington went on a 28-16 run over the final 13 minutes of the first half to lead 36-26 at the half.

* Abington's late surge in the opening half was jump-started by 11 unanswered points as sophomore Kolby Miller capped the run with a three-pointer that made the score 19-10 with just under 10 minutes to play in the half.  Abington would lead by as many as 13 points twice with the latter coming at the 3:21 mark.  Senior Alex Salata III converted a pair of free throws which gave the Nittany Lions a 30-17 lead.

* In the second half, Abington swelled its lead to as many as 20 points by the 9:04 mark.  A pair of free throws by senior Brian Randolph III made the score 61-41.

* Over the next four-minutes Berks cut the deficit down to single-digits thanks to a 13-2 run.  A three-pointer by Darik Tannis-Harriet adjusted the score to 63-54 with 5:13 to play.

* Down the stretch Berks made it a seven-point game at 73-66 but free throws by Abington and time were against the home team.  Randolph converted a pair of free throws in the final minute before Salata closed the game off with a steal on defense turning into a fast-break score on the ensuing possession by Berks.
