How It Happened

* Abington scored all seven of its goals in the first half, including the first two by junior Kaya Mobley within 2:45 minutes to begin the game.  Burns along with junior Madison McDowell each had two goals in the opening half. Sophomore Madison Schmitt capped the scoring with her first goal of the season in the 32nd minute.

Inside the Numbers

* Burns entered the game tied with former standout Mallory Mugnier with 27 career goals and in the 17th minute Burns set herself apart becoming the program's all-time goal scorer with her 28th career tally.  She would go on to score again in the 27th minute register career goal number 29.  As a result, Burns is now tied with Mugnier for second place for most career points with 65.  She needs just four more points to tie the current points leader, Michelle Latronica, who has 69 points in her career.

* Mobley had a career day as she finished with two goals and three assists for seven points.  Her three assists tie the program's single game record for most assists.  Mobley is the fifth player in program history to record three assists in a game and the second to do so in as many years.  Last season, Sarah Gibbons recorded three assists against Wells College.

* Freshman goalkeeper Abby Brunnell recorded her first career shutout and picked up her second win of the season.  Brunnell did not have to make a save in net as she faced just one shot against the Bison.

* Gallaudet's Lilian Nelson made 12 saves in net after facing 35 shots by the Abington offense.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 12th meeting between Abington and Gallaudet since the start of the 2011 season.  The Nittany Lions are 12-0-0 versus the Bison in the all-time series.  The seven goals scored today tied the most by Abington against Gallaudet in the series.  The Nittany Lions have scored seven goals two other times with both being shutout victories.
