Radnor, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's soccer team closed out the regular season with a 1-0 setback at Cabrini University in a non-conference contest on Tuesday night at Edith Robb Dixon Field.

How It Happened

* An early second half goal by Cabrini turned out to be the difference in the game. In the 55^th minute Alfa Orihuela scored her first goal of the season off an assist from Erin Ewing to give the Cavaliers the game's first lead.

* Abington had a chance to tie the game in the 63^rd minute but a shot by junior Madison McDowell was stopped by the Cavs' keeper Kiara Soto. McDowell got a shot off in the 66^th minute which turned out to be the Nittany Lions' final shot of the game.

Inside the Numbers

* Freshman goalkeeper Abby Brunnell made two saves in a scoreless first half for the Nittany Lions. Sophomore Rachel Wilfrid entered to start the second half and finished with one save.

* McDowell accounted for all seven shots by the Nittany Lions, including two on-goal. Her seven shots were one shy of her season-high.

All-Time Series
Today marked the fourth meeting between Abington and Cabrini since the start of the 2012 season. The Nittany Lions are now 0-3-1 versus the Cavaliers in the all-time series.
