Abington, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's basketball team dropped a United East Conference (UEC) contest to visiting Penn State Harrisburg by the score of 80-46 on Wednesday night. Prior to the game, the Nittany Lions recognized seniors Cassie Tavormina and Isabella Vazquez in part of Senior Night Festivities at the Abington Athletic Building.

How it Happened

* Harrisburg closed the final two minutes of the opening quarter on an 11-3 run to take a 31-14 advantage entering the second quarter. Harrisburg carried its momentum over into the second frame outscoring Abington 11-2 over the first 5:20 minutes. Harrisburg went on to lead 52-23 at the half.

* Harrisburg outscored Abington, 28-23, in the second half.

* Tavormina led Abington with a team-high 13 points to go along with four rebounds and two assists.

* Vazquez finished the game with 11 points and six rebounds. She also registered four steals on defense.

* Junior Angela Sanders also scored in double-figures with 11 points. Sanders also totaled four rebounds and three steals.

* For Harrisburg, Jayla Galbreath led all scorers with 17 points, while Ciani Redd-Howard totaled 13 points and seven rebounds.
