How It Happened

* Abington scored a run in the first two innings to take an early 2-0 lead in the game.  Gorman led the first off with a double and later scored on a triple by sophomore Gretchen Yanss.  The Nittany Lions added another run in the bottom of the second when freshman Emily Foxhill drove in fellow freshman Jill Thomas who tripled earlier in the inning.

* The Abington lead disappeared in the top of the third when Regis plated four runs to grab its first lead of the game.  The Pride added another run in the fourth to make it a 5-2 game.

* The Nittany lions tied the game in the bottom of the fifth with a three-run frame.  Senior Hailey Gamble recorded an RBI triple that scored senior Megan Tomoney for the inning's first run.  Gamble then scored on a field error before Foxhill delivered a run scoring single later in the inning to tie the game at 5-5.

* In the bottom of the seventh four straight one-out singles by the Nittany Lions set the stage for the walk-off victory.  Thomas, sophomore Drew Liss and Foxhill all reached base with a hit before Gorman's walk-off single to right field sealed the victory.
