How It Happened (Game 1)

* With the score tied 2-2 in the bottom of the seventh, sophomore Callie Chambers delivered a one-out single to center field that scored sophomore Hailey Gamble to give the Nittany Lions a 3-2 walk-off victory.  Gamble forced a one-out walk and advanced to second when senior Megan Tomoney reached on an infield hit to setup Chambers for the game-winning hit.

* In the top of the seventh, Penn College appeared to have scored the go-ahead run when a flyball by MacKenzie Weaver was deep enough to score Maddie Hurst from third.  However, on appeal, it was ruled that Hurst left prior to the catch resulting in the final out of the inning.

* Abington tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth when a slow ground ball to first base by sophomore Drew Liss was enough for sophomore Gretchen Yanss to score from third.  Liss also had a game-tying hit earlier in the game when she drove in Chambers with a base hit to make the score 1-1 in the bottom of the second.

* Abington jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the night cap thanks to a four-run first inning.  The first three batters in the inning reached base before Chambers drove in the game's first run with a base hit to right field.  Two batters later, Yanss connected on a two-run double to increase the lead to 3-0.  Senior Maddie Duffy followed with a sacrifice fly that scored Chambers for the final run of the inning.

* Abington made it a 5-0 game with another run in the second.  Gamble drove in a run with an infield hit that deflected off the pitcher's glove.

* Penn College got on the board in the third when Jordan Specht drove in a pair of runs with a single to center field. Two innings later, Specht came through again this time with a double to center field that drove in Hurst to make it a 5-3 game.
