How It Happened

* Abington led 10-0 by the end of the second inning and never looked back.  The Nittany Lions plated a pair of runs in the opening inning and then exploded for eight runs in the second. Junior Eric Rollins highlighted the inning with a two-run triple.

* Gallaudet made things interesting in the bottom of the third with a six-run frame to make it a 10-6 game.  However, Abington responded with nine runs in the top half of the fourth.  Rollins recorded his second run scoring triple of the game, while later in the inning senior Zach Morales drove in a pair with a triple of his own.

* Abington blew the game open in the seventh as the Nittany Lions scored 16 runs after sending 22 batters to the plate in the inning.  The Nittany Lions recorded nine hits and also reached base on four walks and four hit by pitches.  Morales and junior Ryan Lenderman each homered in the inning. It marked Lenderman's first career home run.

* Abington capped the scoring with a five-run eighth inning.

Inside the Box Score

* Morales finished the game 4-for-8 with five runs and a career-high eight RBI.  Most importantly his final hit of the game, a run scoring single in the eighth inning, marked his 200th career hit.  Morales is just the second player in program history to record 200 career hits joining former teammate Ryan McCarty to reach the milestone.  Morales also hit his eighth home run of the season and the 21st of his career.

* Sophomore Steve Corrado finished the game 3-for-4 with a career-high five runs and six RBI.  He also connected on his fourth home run of the season in the game.

* Lenderman had a career day as he went 3-for-5 at the plate while scoring five runs and driving in four; both career-highs.  His seventh inning three-run homer marked the first of his career.  He also drew four walks in the game.
