How It Happened

* Junior Elisa Steinhardt and freshman Soniyah Youngblood recorded the team's lone point in the match with an 8-4 victory at second doubles over the Seahawks' Sydney Anderson and Amber Manspeaker.  Steinhardt and Youngblood trailed 3-2 but broke serve and held for a 4-3 lead.  At 6-4, they broke serve again to go up 7-4 and then held serve as Youngblood hit the winner to secure the victory.  In the short history between the two teams, it marked the first point scored by the Nittany Lions in three matches against the Seahawks.
