Abington Falls to St. Mary’s in United East Opener

Abington, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's soccer team fell just short to visiting St. Mary's College (Md.) in the United East Conference (UEC) opener by the score of 1-0 on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Field.

How It Happened
 
* St. Mary's scored the game's lone goal in the 81st minute which was set up by a free kick. Erin Clark sent the ball towards Keira O'Neail who came through with the score to give the Seahawks a 1-0 lead. The goal marked O'Neail's first goal of the season.

* Freshman goalkeeper Abby Brunnell finished the game with five saves for the Nittany Lions.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked just the third meeting between Abington and St. Mary's since the start of the 2021 season.  The Seahawks have won all three contests in the series.
