Abington Takes Part in Highlander Invitational

RESULTS

Langhorne, Pa. - The Penn State Abington women's cross country team competed at the annual Highlander Invitational hosted by Cairn University on Saturday.

Meet Highlights

* Senior Brielle Worrall finished 18^th overall among 65 runners as she was the first Nittany Lion to cross the finish line. Worrall recorded a time of 29:16.6 over the 6k-course.

* Freshman Anna Hogan followed close behind as she finished in 30:27.0 for a 22^nd place showing. Hogan set a new personal-best in a 6k-race.

* Freshman Kritika Singh crossed the finish line in a time of 40:43.5 (46^th).

* Freshmen Kinah Britton and Anyia Norris each set new personal-best times in a 6k-race. Britton finished in 44:08.2, while Norris crossed at 52:02.7.

* Other finishers for the Nittany Lions include sophomores Himani Bhave (53:04.6) and Yeva Amirkhanyan (58:02.5).

Abington returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 12 as the Nittany Lions take part in the Jack St. Clair Memorial hosted by Thomas Jefferson University at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.
