Abington Falls to Moravian in Non-Conference Tilt

Bethlehem, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's basketball team dropped a non-conference contest at Moravian University by the score of 110-78 on Friday night at Johnston Hall.

How It Happened
 
* Leading 12-6 at the 14:25 mark, Moravian scored 16 unanswered points to swell its lead to 22-points.  The Greyhounds led 28-6 after a layup basket by Marquis Ratcliff. 
 
* Moravian increased its lead to as many as 30 points after a three-pointer by Michael Leonardo made the score 55-25 with less than a minute to play until halftime.  The Greyhounds let, 57-29, heading into the locker rooms at the half.
 
* In the second half the Greyhounds maintained their double-digit lead and led by as many as 39 points (75-36) after a three-pointer by Taylor Perlmutter.
 
Inside the Box Score
 
* Freshman Jahad Marable led the Nittany Lions with 13 points (4-7 FG).  He also grabbed four rebounds.
 
*Freshman Anthony Pineda also scored in double-figures as he totaled a season-high 10 points (4-7 FG).  Pineda also dished out four assists.
 
* Freshman Gabe Swift added a season-high eight points (3-4 FG), while junior Dylan Shead recorded seven points.
 
* Senior Myles Haynes grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds to set a new career-high in an Abington uniform.  He also scored five points.
 
* For Moravian, Porter Kelly finished with a game-high 18 points, while Ratcliff and Chad Kratzer each totaled 17 points.
 
All-Time Series
Tonight marked the first-ever meeting between Abington and Moravian.

Abington returns to action on Saturday as the Nittany Lions travel to face Arcadia University in a non-conference contest.  Game time is set for 3 p.m.
