How It Happened

* The score remained 1-0 until the top of the third inning when DeSales had three runners cross the plate.  Owen Fischl highlighted the inning with a two-run single as the Bulldogs grabbed a 3-1 lead.

* DeSales expanded its lead to 9-1 in the following inning with a six-run fourth inning. Travis Kerr and Jack Sague each drove in a pair of runs in the inning.  All six runs scored with two outs in the frame.

* The Bulldogs added two more runs in the sixth and plated six in the eighth to cap their scoring.

Inside the Numbers

* Junior Jake Fallers went 2-for-3 at the plate, including his first home run in an Abington uniform.  Fallers led the seventh inning off with a blast over the left field fence that led to a two-run inning for the Nittany Lions.

* McGee also had a multi-hit game as he finished the night 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI.  McGee drove in senior Sean Doherty in the seventh inning with a base hit through the left side.  Doherty doubled down the left field line prior to McGee's base knock.

* Milward went 2-for-4 with a base hit and double as he drove in the game's first run.

* Senior Brandon Hightower struck out a pair of batters in his start and as a result moved into seventh place on the all-time strikeout list with 95 career K's.

* For DeSales, Sague drove in a game-high five runners as he went 2-for-4 at the plate with a double and a triple.  Fischl finished 3-for-5 with three runs and three RBI, while JT Anderosky went 2-for-6 with two runs and three RBI.

* Mike Hooker (2-0) picked up his second win of the season for the Bulldogs as he struck out six batters in 5.2 innings of work.
