How It Happened

* Gallaudet jumped out to a seven point lead after starting the game on a 10-3 run.  However, after a slow start the Nittany Lions' offense came to life and used 12-4 surge to grab its first lead of the game at 15-14.  A three-pointer by redshirt sophomore Christian Niles at the 8:59 mark gave the Nittany Lions the one-point advantage.

* Both teams exchanged baskets and the lead in the final nine minutes of the half with the Bison coming away with a 31-28 lead heading into halftime.

* In the second half, Gallaudet led the entire final 20 minutes and even extended its lead to as many as 13 points.  A jumper by Otto Enow Jr. gave the Bison a 54-41 advantage at the 11:37 mark.

* From there the Nittany Lions started chipping away at the Bison lead and came within three points of tying the game. A three-pointer by fifth-year guard Alex Podolski capped a 16-3 run by the Nittany Lions to make the score 60-57 with less than five minutes to play.

* Down the stretch the Nittany Lions once again cut the deficit to three points after a three-pointer by junior Kobe Devin made the score 65-62 with 1:45 to play.  However, that turned out to be the final basket for the Nittany Lions as Gallaudet scored on its following possession and held Abington to 0-of-4 shooting in the final minute.
