How It Happened (Game 1)

* Fresh off her second career perfect game a day ago, junior Gretchen Yanss continued her dominance in the pitching circle as she held the Mighty Macs scoreless through 5.2 innings. The Mighty Macs Kristin Carter drew a walk and then Bryele Anthony followed with an infield hit to score Steph Kelly who pinch ran for Carter.  Prior to Anthony's hit, Kelly stole second and advanced to third on a throwing error to get into scoring position.

* Abington answered in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at 1-1.  Freshman Rylee Albany reached on an infield hit to shortstop that scored Yanss.

* After holding the Mighty Macs in-check in the top half of the seventh, Abington struck in the bottom of the inning.  With two outs, freshman Marlena Hacker singled and then advanced to second on a throwing error.  With Hacker in scoring position, freshman Ava Livingston delivered a base hit to left field scoring Hacker for the walk-off victory.

Inside the Numbers (Game 1)

*  Yanss picked up her third victory of the season and the 20th of her career as she held the Mighty Macs to two hits and one unearned run in seven complete innings.  She finished the game with a season-high eight strikeouts.

* Livingston was perfect at the plate as she went 4-for-4, including her game-winning hit in the seventh.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* In the latter game, the Nittany Lions trailed 1-0 early on but that deficit was short lived as Abington scored three runs in the second to lead 3-1.  Freshman Rylee Albany drove in a pair of runs with a two-run double and would go on to score after an error by the Mighty Macs.

* In the third the Mighty Macs regained the lead after scoring five runs on seven hits.  Rylee Martin came through with a two-run double, while Carter drove in a run with an infield hit.

* Trailing 6-3, the Nittany Lions tied the game in the bottom of the fourth with another three-run inning.  Albany once again came through with a clutch hit to tie the game as she tripled to right field scoring junior Drew Liss and freshman Sara Slimm.  Albany then came around to score on the play thanks to an error by Immaculata.
