How It Happened (Game 1)

* In the opener, Abington scored the game's first run right off the bat.  Junior Callie Chambers drove in freshman Victoria Butler with a two-out single to right field.  Butler led off the inning with a single through the right side.

* The score remained 1-0 until the bottom of the fifth inning.  Neumann took advantage of an Abington fielding error after Emily Ammon singled through the left side.  Bri Reim ended up scoring on the miscue to tie the game at 1-1.

* With a runner on second base to start the eighth inning, Neumann's Reim dropped down a sacrifice bunt to advance the runner to third.  Ammon then singled up the middle to drive in Tori Spinella for the game-winning run.

Inside the Numbers (Game 1)

* Yanss went the distance for the Nittany Lions as she went 7.1 innings allowing zero earned runs on six hits.  She finished the game striking out seven batters.  She also went 1-for-4 at the plate.

* Butler went 2-for-4 with a pair of base hits.  She also stole a base for her seventh swipe of the season.

* For Neumann, Ammon went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Santos earned the win after pitching three perfect innings of relief.  She struck out five of the nine batters she faced.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* Abington struck first again in the night cap as the Nittany Lions scored two runs in the opening frame.  Freshman Ava Livingston had a run scoring double and scored on a base hit by Chambers.

* In the second inning, Neumann took over the lead with a five-run inning.  Four different players drove in runs in the inning as the Knights took a 5-2 lead.

* The Knights added three runs in the bottom of the third to extend their lead to 8-2.  A fifth inning run scoring double by Alyssa Celi made it a 9-2 game.
