How It Happened

* Both teams battled at first and second doubles as the Golden Wolves came away with both the points.  At first doubles, the duo of Wenxu Gu and Josh Kurek tied the match at 6-6, however Alvernia's Jayden Lewis and Lucas Berger won the next two games to take the point.  Neil Guarino and Tripp Mangifesta rallied from 6-3 down to tie the match at 6-6.  The Abington duo then went up 7-6 before Thomas Figurelli and Luke Brisbois tied it at 7-7 to force a 10-point super tiebreak.  Alvernia went on to take the tiebreak, 10-8.

* In singles play, Adrian Schembri shutout Alvernia's Zachary Hinkel winning both sets by the score of 6-0 to win his first match of the season.

* Mangifesta went the distance in his third singles match with Figurelli.  Mangifesta took the first set, 6-4, before Figurelli tied the match at 1-1 with a 7-6 win in set two.  Figurelli won the third set tiebreak by a close score of 10-8.

* Abington received points at third doubles and sixth singles by default.
