* Abington led 7-0 heading into the top half of the sixth inning.  The Nittany Lions pushed across six runs after compiling eight hits in the inning to take a commanding 13-0 lead.  Five different players drove in runs, including junior Gretchen Yanss who recorded a two-run double.  Freshman Victoria Butler went 2-for-2 in the inning with a pair of base hits.

* In the bottom of the sixth, Yanss gave up a leadoff single but retired the next three batters to force the 10-run mercy rule in the six-inning shortened game.

* Abington broke a scoreless game in the top half of the third with a six-run inning.  The Nittany Lions scored all six runs with two outs in the inning.  Freshman Marlena Hacker drove in the first two runs with a two-run triple and later in the inning Yanss drove in a pair with her first of two doubles in the game.
