Abington Falls to Neumann in Non-Conference Match

Aston, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's tennis team dropped a non-conference contest on the road against Neumann University by the score of 7-2 on Tuesday afternoon at ESCS Memorial Courts.

How It Happened
 
* The team of senior Elizabeth Turner and freshman Laurie Flemming led Neumann's Hannah Asaka and Kylie Seeger 3-2 before winning five straight games to take their first doubles match by the score of 8-2.
 
* Neumann won the other two doubles competitions to take a 2-1 lead in the match heading into singles play.
 
* Flemming recorded the team's lone point in singles play as she cruised to a straight sets victory at first singles defeating Kaitlyn Smith, 6-0, 6-2.  It marked Flemmings third singles victory in her last four matches.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the first-ever meeting between Abington and Neumann.
 
Next Up
Abington returns to action on Saturday, March 30 as the Nittany Lions host Cairn University in a non-conference contest.  Match time is set for 1 p.m. at the Abington Tennis Courts on campus.
