Abington Falls to Harrisburg

Abington, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's tennis team dropped a United East Conference (UEC) contest to Penn State Harrisburg by the score of 9-0 on Monday afternoon at the Abington Tennis Courts on campus.

How It Happened
 
* Harrisburg jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the match after taking all three doubles competitions. 
 
* In singles play, freshman Laurie Flemming battled tough against Harrisburg's Allison Wootton at first flight.  Flemming fell short in the first set by the score of 6-4 before Wootton clinched the point with a 6-3 win in set two.
 
* Harrisburg won the remaining five singles competitions dropping only three games.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the seventh meeting between Abington and Harrisburg since the start of the 2011-12 season.  Abington is now 2-5 versus Harrisburg in the all-time series.
 
Next Up
Abington returns to action on Tuesday, April 16 as the Nittany Lions host Cairn University to resume the suspended match from March 30.  The match will resume at 4:30 p.m.
