How It Happened (Game 1)

* The Abington offense connected on five home runs in the game, including three in the opening inning.  After a leadoff double by Sean Doherty, Shane Fillman ripped a two-run shot over the left-center field fence for his first of three home runs on the day.  Later in the inning, Donato Incollingo and Montana Milward went back-to-back to give the Nittany Lions a 5-0 lead.

* Abington added a run in the fourth to make the score 6-0 before erupting for nine runs in the fifth to break the game open.  Fillman once again connected on a two-run home run after Doherty led the inning off with a walk. Fillman would come to the plate again later in the inning but this time with the bases loaded.  With two home runs already in the game, Fillman cleared the bases with a grand slam homerun to cap the scoring in the inning with a 15-0 lead.

* The Chargers answered with five runs in the bottom of the fifth as Harrison Madagan highlighted the inning with a two-run double.

* The Abington offense added six runs in the top half of the seventh to increase its lead to 16 runs.  Six different players drove in runs in the inning, including three straight run scoring hits by Justin Pizzo, Joe Christian and Doherty.

* The Chargers countered in the bottom of the inning with six runs of their own but the Nittany Lions still managed to defeat LBC by double-figures.  Micah Sloane had a two-run homer for the Chargers in the inning.

Inside the Box Score (Game 1)

* It was a career game for Fillman as he finished the game 4-for-5 with three home runs, three runs scored and eight RBI.  His three home runs are second most in a single game and the most since former All-American Ryan McCarty hit four in a game against Gallaudet University in the 2022 season.  Fillman's eight RBI are also second most in a single game in program history.  McCarty drove in nine runs in his four homer game against the Bison.  Fillman now has seven home runs on the year.

* Incollingo went 3-for-4 with two runs and three RBI.  His first inning home run marked his seventh of the season.

* Milward also had multiple hits in the game as he finished 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.  His first inning homer marked his eighth on the year.

* Doherty went 2-for-5 with three runs and an RBI.  His two hits increased his career total to 195; just five shy now of becoming the second player in program history to registered 200 hits in a career.

* Jake Fallers finished 2-for-4 with two runs.

* Alex Margot earned his second win of the season after pitching four scoreless innings and allowing just two hits. Margot also struck out four batters.  He now needs three more K's to reach 100 for his career.

* For Lancaster Bible, Madagan went 2-for-2 with a run and three RBI.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* In game two the Nittany Lions trailed early on after the Chargers plated two runs in the second thanks to two run scoring doubles by Micah Sloane and Brian Coburn.

* Abington responded in the third with five runs to grab its first lead of the game at 5-2.  The first three batters in the inning reached base allowing Josh McGee to drive in the first run of the inning with a sacrifice fly.  Incollingo, Milward and Eric Rollins all followed with run scoring hits.  Milward would later score on a balk to cap the scoring in the inning.

* However, a seven-run fourth inning gave the Chargers the lead back with a 9-5 advantage.  Brian Coburn highlighted the inning with a three-run home run.

* The Chargers tacked on two more runs in the fifth to increase their lead to 11-5.
