Hat-Trick by Narcisi Highlights Victory at Valley Forge

Phoenixville, Pa. - Freshman Laurence Narcisi recorded his first career hat-trick as the Penn State Abington men's soccer team opened United East Conference (UEC) action with a 7-1 victory at the University of Valley Forge on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened
 
* The Abington offense scored five first-half goals, including three by Narcisi to jump out to a 5-0 lead within the first 15-plus minutes of the game.
 
* Narcisi scored the game's first goal in the sixth minute with senior Eljo Agolli credited with assisting on the play.  Narcisi scored again in the 13th minute and the 16th minute with Agolli assisting on the latter.
 
* Agolli scored a goal of his own in the ninth minute for his first tally of the season, while senior Sean Horvay connected on a score in the 15th minute for his first goal of the season as well.
 
* Valley Forge's Elisha Skipper got the Patriots on the board with a goal in the 43rd minute to start the second half.
 
* Abington added two more scores late midway through the second half.  Sophomore Hugh Nungessor scored his first goal of the season in the 64th minute, while senior Arsene Bado converted a penalty kick attempt for his first score of the year.
 
Inside the Box Score
 
* Abington outshot the Patriots, 27-2, with 18 shots going on-target.  The Nittany Lions also held a 9-1 advantage on corner kick opportunities.
 
* Agolli finished the game with four points with one goal and two assists.  He now has 72 career points trailing Alex Martins by one point for third on the program's all-time list. 
 
* Senior Brendan Werner earned the win in net as he made one save in 78:52 minutes of action.  Freshman Zach Lentchner closed out the game making his collegiate debut.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked just the second meeting between Abington and Valley Forge and the first since 2013.  The Nittany Lions are now 2-0-0 versus the Patriots in the all-time series.
 
Next Up
Abington returns to action on Wednesday, Oct. 2 as the Nittany Lions host Penn College in United East action.  Game time is set for 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Field.
