How It Happened

* Abington trailed by as many as 12 points on multiple occasions in the first half with the latter coming at the 11:10 mark after a Livingston Cross layup basket gave the Wildcats a 26-14 lead.

* Over the next five-plus minutes, the Nittany Lions chipped away at the Wildcats' lead and came within four points of tying the game with just under six minutes to play until halftime.  After a three-point basket by freshman Anthony Pineda, senior Kobe Devine forced a turnover on defense leading to a fastbreak basket making the score 32-28.

* Penn College pushed its lead up to nine points (37-28) after a Cross layup made the score 37-28 with less than four minutes remaining in the opening half.  Abington responded with a 7-0 run capped by a Devine basket to bring the Nittany Lions within two points at 37-35 with just over two minutes left.  The Wildcats finished the half with a 42-37 advantage.

* In the second half, the Nittany Lions came as close as one possession of tying the game at the 13:43 mark.  Devine scored another layup basket to make the score 50-47.  However, that would be as close as the home squad would get at tying the game. The Wildcats went on a 15-4 run to swell their lead to 14 points.  A Gavin Barrett three-pointer gave Penn College a 65-51 lead with 8:46 to play.

* The Wildcats led by as many as 21 points late in the half with a 76-55 advantage.  Penn College outscored Abington, 38-24, in the second stanza.
