How It Happened

* Abington trailed 58-54 with less than five minutes to play in regulation, however the Nittany Lions made two defensive stops.  The first came as sophomore Amirah Hackney picked the pocket of Neumann's Hannah Cappelletti leading to a fastbreak score.  On the next possession, sophomore Amina Reid grabbed a clutch defensive board and found junior Nia Newman for the layup basket to tie the game with 2:55 on the clock.

* Both teams were unable to break the tie on their next three possessions until DuPont gave the Knights a 60-58 lead after a layup score with :27 seconds showing on the clock.  After a timeout and advancement, the Nittany Lions tied the game when Newman tipped-in a missed layup to make the score 60-60.

* The Knights called their final timeout and like the Nittany Lions, advanced the ball.  On the inbounds, DuPont waited with the ball and then made a drive to the basket.  She floated a shot in the paint and released right before time expired as the shot fell through the net for the game-winner.

* Abington held the game's biggest lead early in the second quarter.  After holding an eight-point (23-15) advantage at the end of the first quarter, freshman Tarianda Washington gave the Nittany Lions a 10-point lead (25-15) after opening the second frame with a layup score.
