Abington, Pa. – The Penn State Abington men's basketball team dropped a United East Conference (UEC) contest to Notre Dame of Maryland University by the score of 75-57 on Wednesday night at the Abington Athletic Building.

How It Happened

* Abington trailed by as many as 20 points early in the second half. The Gators led 54-34 after Amari Bell scored a tip-in basket at the 14:01 mark.

* Over the next nine minutes the Nittany Lions chipped away at the lead and cut the deficit to single digits. Freshman Don Hairston scored back-to-back layups to make the score 62-53 with just over five minutes to play in regulation.

* However, the Gators responded and went on an 11-0 run to push their lead back to double-digits. Anthony Wright capped the run with a fastbreak basket to give Notre Dame a 73-53 lead with 1:16 left on the clock.

Inside the Box Score

* Hairston led all scorers with a game-high 18 points to go along with six rebounds.

* Freshman Aiden Brown recorded his first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. He also had two blocks and four steals on defense.

* Redshirt-junior Christian Niles added eight points, while senior Kolby Miller finished with six points and five rebounds.

* For Notre Dame, Dylan Long finished with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Athony Wright added 12 points and five rebounds.
