How It Happened

* One goal turned out to be the difference in the game as St. Mary's scored the game's lone goal in the 53rd minute to break a scoreless tie.  Maddison Spradlin scored her fourth goal of the season after finding the lower-right part of the net for the score.  Spradlin's goal was set-up by two quick passes from Gracie Tourangeau and Ella Raines.

* Abington finished the game with just three shots with all three being on-goal.  Junior Nayeska Ravelo had her shot in the 21st minute stopped by the Seahawks' Kyleigh Bland.  In the closing minute of the first half, Bland made another stop off a shot from sophomore Kaitlyn Frank.  Frank had another shot-on goal in the 80th minute but was once again stopped by Bland.

All-Time Series
Today marked the fourth meeting between Abington and St. Mary's since the start of the 2021 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 0-4-0 versus the Seahawks in the all-time series.

Postseason Picture
Abington currently sits seventh in the United East standings with one game to go in the regular season; a road contest against Wilson College on Saturday.  A win against the Phoenix and pending results from games across the conference, the Nittany Lions could move up to sixth and receive a first-round bye.  However, a loss will guarantee a first-round game for Abington either at Memorial Field or on the road pending the final pairings.

Next Up
Abington will wrap up the regular season on Saturday, Oct. 21 at Wilson.  Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
