* Freshman Aramis Shire put the Nittany Lions on the board scoring the game's first goal in the 60th minute with his fourth goal of the season.

* Abington pressured the Wilson defense all afternoon totaling 18 shots to just five by the Phoenix.  However, of the team's 18 shots only four were on-goal.

* The Nittany Lions nearly doubled their lead late in the second half.  Junior Laurence Narcisi had a shot on-target in the 80th minute but was stopped by Wilson's Vincent Natale. In the 86th minute, Shire was stopped by Natale with what could have been his second goal of the game.

* The two late stops by Natale turned out to be key as Wilson tied the game at 1-1 in the 87th minute with a score by Brian Mulholland. It marked his second goal of the season.
