How It Happened

* A goal by the home team in the 75^th minute turned out to be the difference in an evenly played contest. Matthew Kuwik scored an unassisted goal for the Seahawks to hold a 1-0 advantage with just over 15 minutes left to play in the second half.

* Abington fired off four shots in the final 10 minutes, however just one of those shots were on-target. Sophomore Frankie Rafferty ripped a shot in the 87^th minute but his potential game-tying shot was stopped by the Seahawks keeper, Zach Reed, to preserve the shutout.

* St. Mary's held a slight edge on total shots, 13-12, and on corner kicks, 5-4, for the game.

* Senior Brendan Werner, last week's United East Defensive Player of the Week, made five saves in net for the Nittany Lions. Werner now has 151 career saves.

* Rafferty led the team with four shots, while junior Laurence Narcisi, sophomore Israel Gonzalez and freshman Aramis Shire each had two shots in the game.
