How It Happened

* The game came down to the final minute of action.  Trailing 58-56, junior Amina Reid, who recently surpassed 200 steals for her career, forced a turnover that led to a basket by junior Amirah Hackney to tie the game at 58-58.

* On the ensuing Penn College possession, Breana Valentine was fouled and converted a pair of free throws to give the Wildcats the lead again at 60-58 with :29 seconds remaining.  Abington missed a three-pointer on its next possession, and the Wildcats gained possession on a dead-ball rebound with only five seconds left on the clock.

* Outside a timeout, the Nittany Lions were forced to foul sending Mia Patterson to the free throw line. Patterson split her free throws making the backend of the two.  Abington called a timeout to advance the ball.  The Nittany Lions last second shot to tie the game and force overtime rimmed out as time expired.
