* The Highlanders made it a two-point game at 29-27 but Abington responded in a big way scoring 14 of the final 17 points of the half with a 14-3 run.  The Nittany Lions pushed their lead to as many as 14 points (41-27) and finished the half with a 43-30 advantage.

* In the second half the Abington lead swelled to as many as 15 points on two separate occasions with the latter coming at the 15:43 mark.  Freshman Jahad Marable made a pair of free throws which gave the Nittany Lions a 53-38 lead.

* Later in the half, with Abington leading 59-47, the Highlanders rallied and used a 10-0 run to come within two points of the Nittany Lions' lead.  Isaiah Coleman capped a three-point play with a free throw to bring Cairn one possession away from tying the game with 9:27 left in the half.

* As the half progressed, Coleman knocked down a three-pointer to tie the game at 63-63.  Two possessions later, the Highlanders regained the lead at 65-63 after Chris Eelman scored a basket at the 6:15 mark.
