How It Happened

* Abington scored four runs in the top half of the seventh to grab its first lead since leading 3-0 in the first inning.  The Nittany Lions trailed, 8-6, before three straight run scoring hits gave Abington a 10-8 advantage.  With two runners on base, junior Paul Figueroa delivered a double to right-center field to score freshman Aqual Chapman.  Junior Cory DiMario followed with a double down the right field line to score sophomore Gabe Marrero and Figueroa.  DiMario then scored on a basehit by senior Shane Fillman to cap the scoring in the inning.

* Curry threatened in the bottom of the ninth.  With two outs in the inning, the Colonels had two batters reach base brining the potential winning run to the plate.  Junior Connor Woodson entered in relief and retired George Calderon with a grounder right back to the mound for the final out of the game to earn the save.

* Abington opened the game with a three-run first inning.  Senior Josh McGee highlighted the inning with a two-run single.  Senior Jake Fallers also drove in a run in the inning with an infield hit that scored DiMario.

* The Nittany Lions added a pair of runs in the fourth thanks to an RBI double by Grandelli and a sacrifice fly by sophomore Donato Incollingo.
