How It Happened

* Abington jumped out to a 2-0 lead after scoring a pair of runs in the opening frame.  Freshman Lainey Scotese and senior Gretchen Yanss recorded back-to-back run scoring hits to give the Nittany Lions the two-run lead.

* The score remained 2-0 until the bottom of the third when the Bears came through with three runs in the inning to take their first lead of the game.  Sydney Schaefer highlighted the inning with a two-run double.

* Bridgewater added to its lead in the fifth when Angelina Lynch drove in a pair of runs with a double to left field to make the score 5-2.

* The Bears walked it off in the bottom of the sixth with a five-run inning.  Lynch capped the scoring with her second two-run double of the game as Bridgewater enforced the eight-run mercy-rule with a 10-2 lead.

Inside the Box Score

* Gamble recorded her 100th career hit in the top half of the third with a base hit to left-center field.  Gamble is the sixth player in program history to reach the 100-career hit milestone and the first to do so since 2022 when former standout MaryKate Smith accomplished the feat.

* Yanss finished the game 1-for-3 with an RBI and is inching close to the 100-hit milestone for her career. She'll enter tomorrow's two games with 93 career hits.

* Freshman Morgan Craig recorded her first career multi-hit game as she went 2-for-3 with a run scored.

* Sophomore Isabella Antosiewicz also had a pair of hits in the game.  She finished 2-for-3 with a double.

* For Bridgewater, Lynch went 2-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI.  Makayla Ansell finished 3-for-4 with three runs scored and two RBI. Olyvia Mendonca (1-1) picked up the win as she went the distance for the Bears.  She allowed one earned run and scattered seven hits in six innings.

All-Time Series
