How It Happened (Game 1)

* Trailing 1-0 entering the third inning, Abington scored a pair of runs to grab its first lead of the game at 2-1. Senior Hailey Gamble and sophomore Rylee Albany hit back-to-back run scoring hits.  Gamble knocked in sophomore Isabella Antosiewicz with a triple and then scored on a double by Albany.

* Three innings later the Nittany Lions increased their lead to 3-1 after freshman Morgan Craig delivered a run-scoring double to left field that scored freshman Jess Dinardo.  Dinardo entered as a pinch hitter for senior Gretchen Yanss who led the inning off with a double.

* In the seventh, Abington added a pair of insurance runs when Albany drove in two to make the score 5-1.

* In the bottom of the inning, the Eagles scored two runs on two straight groundouts to come within two runs of tying the game at 5-3.  With the potential winning run at the plate, Yanss struck out Mia Testa to end the threat and secure the two-run victory.
