How It Happened (Game 1)

* Harrisburg tied the game at 5-5 after taking advantage of an Abington error in the top half of the ninth inning.  In the bottom of the inning, Abington had the potential winning run at third in sophomore Zach DiMario who entered as a pinch runner.  With two outs, senior Gaetan Grandelli struck out on a pitch in the dirt and quickly headed towards first.  The Harrisburg catcher gathered the wild pitch and threw to first but the ball sailed into right field at Grandelli reached first safely and DiMario headed home to score the game-winning run on a walk-off strikeout/error.

* Abington broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fifth when senior Shane Fillman hit a two-out two-run home run over the right field fence to make the score 3-1.

* Abington increased its lead to 5-1 in the bottom of the sixth after senior Josh McGee connected on a two-run home run to right field.

* Harrisburg made things interesting in the top half of the seventh scoring three runs in the frame to come within one run of tying the game at 5-4.

Inside the Box Score (Game 1)

* Fillman's fifth inning home run marked his second of the season and ninth of his career as he finished the game 2-for-5 with a run and two RBI.

* McGee connected on his first home run of the season in the sixth as he went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI on the day.

* Redshirt freshman Mike Brocco also had multiple hits in the game as he went 2-for-4 with a run, while Grandelli went 2-for-5.

* For Harrisburg, Moises Gonzalez went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.  Brendan Henn also had a pair of hits as he went 2-for-3.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* Abington nearly pulled off a come-from-behind victory in game two.  Harrisburg led 4-2 and Fisher Druck struck out the first two batters in the inning.  However, junior Cory DiMario singled through the left side and then Fillman followed with a double down the right field line.  Harrisburg fielded the ball in play but then went out of play with the ball.  The umpires awarded an additional base to each DiMario and Fillman with DiMario scoring on the extra base to make the score 4-3.  After intentionally walking Grandelli, Druck was able to retire the final Abington batter on one pitch to hold onto the one run victory.

* Harrisburg led 2-0 heading into the fourth inning.  Abington scored single runs in the fourth and fifth to tie the game at 2-2.  McGee drove in a run in the fourth, while Grandelli scored the tying run in the fifth with a double.

* Harrisburg regained the lead in the sixth when Demetre Koutras scored from third on a wild pitch.  Harrisburg added a run in the eighth to make the score 4-2 on a run scoring hit by Tim Haftl.
