How It Happened (Game 1)

* Trailing 4-0 in the fifth, Abington made it a one run game after scoring three runs in the bottom of the inning.  After the first two batters reached base, senior Garrett Garofalo drove in senior Jake Fallers with a sacrifice fly. Junior Paul Figueroa followed with a run scoring double and then scored on a base hit by junior Cory DiMario.

* Abington tied the game in the bottom of the sixth when Garofalo drove in Fallers again; this time with a single to left field.  However, the Patriots answered in the seventh with a pair of runs to regain the lead at 6-4.

* In the bottom of the seventh, the Abington offense continued to stay hot as the Nittany Lions grabbed their first lead of the game after a four-run inning.  A costly throwing error by the Valley Forge catcher on a steal attempt by sophomore Donato Incollingo led to two runs, including the go-ahead run.  Senior Gaetan Grandelli scored from third while Incollingo scored all the way from first on the steal of second.  Garofalo capped the scoring with, yet another run scoring hit that brought home Fallers for the third time.

* Abington erupted for another four runs in the eighth to break the game open.  Incollingo drove in a pair with a two-run single, before Fallers followed with a two-run home run to make the score 12-6.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* An 11-run fourth inning turned out to be the difference in the game.  Already leading 1-0, Abington put the game out of each in a big way with two outs in the inning.  Incollingo popped out to lead off the frame, before Fallers reached on a hit-by-pitch.  Senior Josh McGee lined out to center field for the second out of the inning.  From there, the Nittany Lions had 13 straight batters reach base, including five hits and six walks.
