St. Davids, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's soccer team dropped a non-conference contest on the road against Eastern University by the score of 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Olson Field.

How It Happened
 
* To early first half goals by the Eagles turned out to be the difference in the game.  The home team struck in the seventh minute and then again in the 17th minute of the game.  The Eagles' first goal came off the foot of Paige Snell, while Emma Bennett made it a 2-0 game with the latter goal.
 
* Eastern's defense held Abington to just one first half shot and four total for the game.  The Eagles finished the game with 23 total shots.

* Sam Ridler made eight saves in net in her Abington debut.
 
* Sophomore Kaitlyn Frank and freshman Rylee Sundermeier each had a shot on-goal.  Junior Nayeska Ravelo and sophomore Meghan McMeel each tallied a shot.

Today marked the fourth meeting between Abington and Eastern since the start of the 2018 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 0-4-0 versus the Eagles in the all-time series.
