How It Happened

* Abington kept things relatively close versus the top team in the United East, especially early in the first half.  The Nittany Lions held a seven-point advantage three times in the half with the latter coming at the 10:43 mark.  Junior Tyler Fox drained a three-pointer to boost the team's lead to 20-13.

* Later in the half, the Chargers regained possession of the lead after a three-pointer by Trey Grube made the score 25-23.  The Nittany Lions followed with a basket on their next possession as Fox knocked down another three-pointer to give Abington a one-point advantage.

* Over the final seven minutes of the opening half, Lancaster Bible outscored Abington, 18-7, to take a 43-33 lead into the locker rooms at halftime.  Camden Hurst scored a layup basket for the Chargers as time expired to cap the scoring.

* In the second half, the Nittany Lions cut the deficit down to six points after a Fox jumper made the score 49-43 at the 17:27 mark.  However, back-to-back three-pointers on the next two Chargers' possessions gave the home team a 55-43 advantage.  Lancaster Bible's lead never dipped back down to single digits the rest of the game.  The two threes jump-started a 34-8 run as the Chargers saw their lead jump to 83-51 with 9:26 to play in regulation.
