How It Happened

* Abington trailed 50-43 entering the fourth quarter and went on to score the first eight points of the final 10 minutes to grab a 51-50 advantage.  Junior Amina Reid converted a pair of free throws to give the Nittany Lions their first lead since the 7:59 mark of the second quarter when Abington led 20-18.

* The Gators regained the lead with less than five minutes remaining in regulation after Yasmeen Yussuf drained two free throws for Notre Dame's first points of the quarter.  On the ensuing possession, junior Amirah Hackney recorded a three-point play capped off with a free throw to give Abington a 54-52 lead.  After a defensive stop, Reid scored a layup basket to increase the lead to 56-52.

* Notre Dame came within one possession of tying the game when Amani Watts made the score 56-54 with 1:47 left on the clock.  Neither team was able to score until the final seconds when Watts made a free throw with four seconds left.  Her second attempt came up short, and Nia Newman grabbed a key defensive board as time expired to give Abington the one-point victory.

* Abington outscored Notre Dame, 13-5, in the fourth quarter as the defense held the Gators to just 1-of-9 shooting from the field.
