How It Happened (Game 1)

* In the first, Wesleyan scored a pair of runs to give starting pitcher, Shamus Kelly, all the support he would need.  James Marsden drove in the first run with a sacrifice fly and later in the inning Sam Hensinger singled to center to score William Moore.

* The Cardinals added a run in the fourth after a run scoring hit by Tucker DeWolf and scored another run in the sixth to make it a 4-0 game.  Oliver Kwan drove in a run with a base hit.

* Abington scattered six hits throughout the game but weren't able to get a runner past second until the seventh inning.  The Nittany Lions loaded the bases with two outs in the frame, but Kelly was able to get out of the inning to register the complete game shutout.

Inside the Box Score (Game 1)

* Freshman Jaxon Horvath finished 2-for-3 at the plate.

* Redshirt sophomore Nick Diana pitched 2.2 innings of relief for the Nittany Lions allowing just one unearned run while striking out a pair of batters.

* For Wesleyan, Kelly picked up his first win of the season.  He struck out five batters and scattered six hits in seven innings. DeWolf and Moore each had two hits in the game.

How It Happened (Game 2)

* Abington trailed 4-0 entering the bottom of the third and by inning's end had its first lead of the game.  The first three batters reached base for the Nittany Lions before relief pitcher Oliver Wyner retired the first two batters he faced.  After a sacrifice fly by junior Akira Nakamura, senior Zach Bauers followed with a run scoring hit to make the score 4-2.  Junior Donato Incollingo stepped to the plate and cleared the bases with a three-run homer to give Abington a 5-4 lead.  The Nittany Lions reloaded the bases, however relief pitcher, Ben Bryant, entered for the Cardinals and forced a groundout for the third out of the inning.

* The Cardinals tied the game in the fifth with a run-scoring hit by Moore and then regained the lead with a pair of runs in the sixth. Moore once again came through with a two-run base hit.

* Abington got a run back in the bottom of the sixth when Incollingo recorded his fourth RBI of the game with a run-scoring hit.

* Trailing 7-6 in the final frame, the Nittany Lions loaded the bases after the first batter of the inning was retired.  Nakamura drove in junior Nathan Schurga with a single to left field.  Schurga reached earlier in the inning after getting hit by a pitch.  Bauers then stepped up and lined the pitch to centerfield deep enough for freshman John Busco to tag-up and score from third for the game-winning walk-off run.

Inside the Box Score (Game 2)
