Abington Falls to Wildcats in Conference Match

South Williamsport, Pa. – The Penn State Abington women's tennis team dropped a United East Conference (UEC) contest at Penn College by the score of 5-2 on Tuesday afternoon at the Central PA Tennis Center.

How It Happened
 
* Penn College picked up the team point in doubles play after winning first and second doubles by the identical scores of 6-0. 
 
* Junior Sevara Tursunboeva battled Ellen Buckley to a tough first singles set.  Tursunboeva went up 4-1 but Buckley rallied and won the set, 7-5.  She went on to take the match with a 6-1 victory in set two.
 
* Abington received team points and fifth and sixth singles by forfeit.
 
All-Time Series
Today marked the 12th meeting between Abington and Penn College since the start of the 2014-15 season.  The Nittany Lions are now 10-2 versus the Wildcats in the all-time series.
 
Next Up
Abington returns to action on Saturday, April 4 as the Nittany Lions host Notre Dame of Maryland University in a United East contest.  Match time is set for 1 p.m. at the Abington Tennis Courts on campus.
