How It Happened

* Senior Mark Tymchenko and freshman Daniel Trott picked up a victory at first doubles after jumping out to a 3-0 lead over Berks' Talan Nguyen and Jazae Maina-Itegi.  Berks made it a 3-2 match, however despite the run by Nguyen and Maina-Itegi, the Abington duo went on to score three of the next four points to take the match, 6-3.

* Berks managed to record victories and second and third doubles to earn the team point in doubles.  They won at second doubles by the score of 6-2 and finished third doubles with a 6-4 victory.

* In singles action, Abington won at fifth and sixth singles to record its two team points on the day.  At fifth singles, freshman Kaan Ofluoglu won in straight sets over Evan Imschweiler.  Ofluoglu won the first set, 6-1, and needed a tie-break in the second set to win, 7-6.  He won the first five points in the tie-break, enroute to a 7-1 victory.

* Sophomore Charlie Batman got the win at sixth singles over Caleb Corjuc in straight sets by the score of 6-3, 7-6.  Batman trailed 5-3 in the second set but rallied to force a tiebreak.  He was down 4-3 in the tiebreak point, but won four straight points to take the tiebreak, 7-4, and win the set, 7-6.

* Freshman Sanat Juneja went the distance in his fourth singles match against Joseph Martin.  Juneja dropped the first set, 7-5, but bounced back to take the second set, 6-2, to force a third and decisive set.  The third set featured a 10-point tiebreak that went back-and-forth the entire set.  However, Martin managed to come away with 12-10 victory to win the match.

* Berks also had victories at first, second and third singles.
