How It Happened

* Berks took all three doubles competitions to grab the team point for doubles.  Senior Soniyah Youngblood and junior Sevara Tursunboeva battled Mia Aharonoff and Lannie Beck in a hard-fought first doubles match that needed a tiebreak point to determine the winner.  In the tiebreak, Tursunboeva and Youngblood fought off four match points before Aharonoff and Beck took the tiebreak, 11-9.

* In singles play, Youngblood won the team's lone match with a three-set victory at second singles over Eliana Koehler.  Youngblood cruised to 6-1 victory in the first set, but Koehler answered with a 6-4 win in set two to force a third and decisive set.  In the third set, Youngblood jumped out to an early lead and never trailed in the set as she won the match with a 6-2 win.  She has now won four matches in a row against conference opponents.

All-Time Series
Today marked the 21st meeting between Abington and Berks since the start of the 2011-12 season.  Abington is now 11-10 versus Berks in the all-time series.
