How It Happened

* After a two-run first inning by the Dolphins, the Nittany Lions got a run back in the bottom of the frame to make it a 2-1 game.  Junior Donato Incollingo, who finished with five RBI, drove in junior Akira Nakamura with a two-out double to left.

* The Abington offense took advantage of a pair of defensive miscues by the Dolphins in the second inning along with erratic pitching that issued five walks. The Nittany Lions plated five runs to take a 6-2 advantage.  Sophomore John Marcucci and senior Zach Bauers each drew bases loaded walks in the inning for force in runs.

* Abington added a pair of runs in the third to increase its lead to 8-3.  Nakamura recorded a run scoring double in the frame.  Two innings later, the Nittany Lions tacked on two more runs to hit double-digits in the run total at 10-3.  Bauers highlighted the inning with a run scoring double.

* The Nittany Lions blew the game wide open in the sixth after seven runners crossed the plate.  The first four batters reached base in the inning and then Incollingo made it five as he cleared the bases with a grand slam marking his conference leading 13th home run of the season.  The Nittany Lions scored two more times later in the inning with run scoring hits by junior Julian Grandelli and freshman Bryce Siegel.
