How It Happened (Game 1)

* In the opener, Abington trailed 10-2 after four innings but rallied in the fifth to cut the deficit to three runs. Freshman Candice Peck drove in a pair of runs with a two-run triple and later scored on a base hit by freshman Tori Colagreco.  Senior Jill Thomas then followed with a triple to right-center that plated Colagreco to make the score 10-6.  The Nittany Lions then took advantage of a Penn College miscue that allowed sophomore Celeste Chang to score as she entered the game as a pinch-runner for Thomas.

* Abington had a chance in the sixth to add a run with sophomore Isabella Antosiewicz connecting on a one-out triple.  However, Penn College's Mackenzi Tice was able to retire the next two batters without any damage. Tice followed with a scoreless seventh to close out the game.
