Abington Hosts Annual ‘Abington Invitational’

RESULTS

Abington, Pa. – Seniors Nelly Evangelista and Zuura Ramazanova each finished in the top-20 as the team hosted the annual Penn State Abington Invitational at Lorimer Park on Saturday morning. As a team, the Nittany Lions finished fourth overall.

Kean University finished first overall as a team, while Lancaster Bible College finished second. Penn State Berks placed third to round out the top-three. Lancaster Bible's Cadee Cameron (24:48.18) and Seana Dougherty (24:55.48) were the top-two individual finishers.

Race Highlights

* Evangelista and Ramazanova finished 14^th and 15^th respectively among Division III runners. Evangelista finished the 6k-course finished in a time of 32:17.38, while Ramazanova finished right behind her in 32:44.46.

* Senior Emily Alvarado was the next Abington runner to cross the finish line as she recorded a time of 36:43.54 to finish 28^th overall.

* Freshman Ashley Ocampo-Medina and sophomore Solomiya Oros finished back-to-back. Ocampo-Medina recorded a time of 47:51.93 (39^th), while Oros finished in 49:50.17 (40^th).
