Women's Lacrosse Dropped Fourth Straight

Box Score The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team fell to 0-4 on the season with an 18-5 decision against Arcadia University on Thursday afternoon.

Nicole Hayes led the team with two points, all goals as fellow teammate Sarah Geny, Victoria Brady, and Kirsten Quinn each notched a goal.
Shreya Soni took the loss in the net for the Lady Lions, allowing 18 goals and making seven saves.

Arcadia outmatched the Lady Lions in just about every category, leading with 31 total shots, 18 ground balls, and winning 18-of -24 draw controls during the game.

Hayes opened the game with the first goal for Abington before Arcadia scored six unanswered goals in a span of ten minutes during the first half.

Quinn notched the second goal for the Lady Lions at the 17:39 mark but it wasn't enough to slow down the Lady Knights, who led 13-2 at halftime.

Abington finally showed some aggression during the second half, scoring three goals but then watched the Lady Knights answered back with back-to-back goals with the 18-5 victory.

The Lady Lions will return to action on March 31 as they open the conference play on the road against Cazenovia College for the 3:30 p.m. matchup.
