Penn State Abington women's lacrosse notched its third victory of the season on a 14-8 decision over the College of St. Elizabeth on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Lady Lions improve to 3-7 on the season and 3-3 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference, while the Screaming Eagles fall to 3-8, 1-5 NEAC.
Abington jumped out to a 3-0 lead in a seven-minute span during the opening of the first half as
Victoria Brady scored two consecutive goals. St. Elizabeth answered back with three goals of its own before Abington scored six unanswered goals as Victoria found the back of the net on a pass from
Nicole Hayes for the hat trick goal, extending the lead 9-3 at the half.
The second stanza was in favor of St. Elizabeth. Looking for a comeback, the Screaming Eagles opened the half scoring five unanswered goals, three of them from free positions shots, to trail the game by one goal, 9-8 with 21:54 remaining.
Abington had enough and finally contained St. Elizabeth's offense, forcing nine turnovers. With the possession on their side, the Lady Lions utilized the time and scored five unanswered goals to nab their third win of the season.
Hayes led the team with seven points, scoring four goals and three assists. Sophomore
Katelyn Haas notched her forth hat trick of the season.

Shreya Soni came up with nine saves in the game.
Abington will return to action on Wednesday, April 18 as it hosts Wilson College in a NEAC Conference match up. The first draw is set for 4 p.m.
