Women's Lacrosse Ends Season With a Win Over SUNYIT

Box Score
The Penn State Abington women's lacrosse team clinched its fourth win of the season with a 9-5 decision over SUNYT IT, 9-5.

Sophmore Danielle Savoni opened the game, scoring back-to-back goals before Katelyn Haas tallied a goal of her own on a free position shot to give Abington the 3-0 lead.

Despite the two goals scored against by SUNY IT, Abington found the back of the net twice before the buzzer, signaling the end of the first half with Abington still in the lead, 5-2.

Abington then opened the second stanza with three consecutive goals, as Savoni notched her hat trick goal of the game. SUNY IT managed to score three additional times but was outnumbered as the Lady Lions edged the Wildcats 9-5 for the final score.

Haas finished the game with four goals as Nicole Hayes scored two goals and two assists. Shreya Soni came up with eight saves in the cage.

Abington finishes the year with a 4-9 overall record and a 4-5 mark in the NEAC Conference as a team.
