Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Knights of Arcadia University exploded for eight first-period goals Wednesday afternoon and breezed to a 19-3 win over Penn State Abington.
The host blanked Abington 8-0 over the first 15 minutes and never looked back. It was 13-0 Knights before Abington's
Kieran Ragan broke the one-sided drought with a goal just past the midway of the third period. Two additional goals were scored by Patrick Peiffer in the third period and teammate Jack Blythe during the fourth quarter for the Nittany Lions (0-2).
Arcadia went on to score six more to record its first victory in program history. Midfielder Austin Morris led the Knights' scorers with four goals. In all, 13 Knights scored at least one goal.
Goalkeeper James Carlin came up with eight saves, four during the second quarter, for Abington. The Nittany Lions managed to grab a season-high 35 ground balls, 10 of them from Carlin.
